While the Cape was being lashed by early winter storms, the Groot Constantia team was sweating in Durban at the annual tourism Indaba. Sweating, that is, to field the interest shown in the wine industry by some of the over 12,600 Indaba visitors, especially tour operators.

With Groot Constantia once again exhibiting as part of Cape Town’s Big 6 (Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch, Table Mountain, Constantia Vineyards and Cape Point), we were really busy as it seems that interest in our region just seems to be growing.

This is possibly due to the fact that the general awareness of wine and wine tourism is causing tour operators and other hospitality industry representatives from around the country to develop a better understanding of our product. With the World Cup 2010 literally around the corner, Groot Constantia and the Cape can look forward to a few bumper seasons.
