Platters Wine Guide rates 90% of Groot Constantia’s wines with an impressive 4.5 stars.
Platter’s South African Wine Guide has awarded nine of Groot Constantia’s ten submitted wines a top accolade of 4.5 stars in the 36th edition of this popular guide – annually one of the most eagerly anticipated listings of top-performing wines. Read more here.
Monde Selection International Gold Award for Groot Constantia Grand Constance
Groot Constantia’s 2013 Grand Constance wine has achieved a Gold Award at the 2016 Monde Selection International Wine Contest which took place in Brussels on 21 and 22 April. Read more here.
Adding to this success, the 2013 Grand Constance was also selected as one of the Top 100 SA Wines in 2016, and also named as best in its class.

In addition to scooping the overall award as the Top South African Wine Producer, Groot Constantia was also the only wine estate in South Africa that had three white wines and three red wines featured in the SAWi Top 10 lists, and the estates Grand Constance Muscat was a runner up in the sweet wine category.
Furthering the SAWi accolades, Groot Constantia’s winemaker, Boela Gerber was selected as the Winemaker of the Year, whilst the estate’s viticulturist, Floricius Beukes won the Viticulturists Award.
Gouverneurs Reserve Red 2013 awarded the RisCura Red Hot Wine Award
