Cape Town is home to the magnificent Cape Town Big 6, which consists of Groot Constantia, Table mountain, Kirstenbosch, Robben Island, Cape Point, and the V&A Waterfront. A walk down our famous aisle of oaks would make the most well traveled tourist feel at home at Groot Constantia. There’s always so much to see and do in Cape Town, so if you’re an ‘out of towner’, we suggest you start with the Big 6 to work your way around the beautiful mothercity.

A taste and visual feast

We have two spectacular restaurants on site, Jonkershuis and Simon’s. Both offer fresh, seasonal cuisine with a touch of modern technique. Both are equipped with family friendly settings and cosy fireplaces for that cold winter’s day.

Groot Constantia has three different tasting rooms. The bottom cellar is located at the entrance of the Estate with a wide selection of local art that serves as a gallery, and a gift shop for anyone looking to take a souvenir or a consolation prize home for the unfortunate friend that couldn’t make the visit. The top cellar is situated near parking lot and close to Simon’s and is the starting point for the cellar tour. Thirdly, tastings also take place in the historic Cloete Cellar, the birthplace of our iconic Grand Constance.
