'Constantia Fresh' is one of the first South African wine festivals to feature Sauvignon Blanc of the Constantia Valley and other participating regional and international producers for a two day lifestyle festival celebrating the distinctiveness and freshness of the ‘wild white’ grape, Sauvignon Blanc and its compatibility with food.

Another Gold Award for the Gouverneurs Shiraz 2006 at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards 2009, making it its 5th one. The Sauvignon Blanc 2009 and Shiraz 2006 both received a Silver Award.

Groot Constantia has added another Gold to its collection, making it 14 Gold wines in just under 2 years, not counting the silver and bronzes.  The last one being the Gouverneurs Shiraz 2006 a Gold at the “Syrah du Monde 2009, being one of the Top Ten Best Syrah’s in the world.

Groot Constantia may be South Africa's oldest wine estate, but it has once more shown that there is still plenty of life left in those venerable foundations. The iconic wine estate has just been named as one of the world's top 10 producers of Chardonnay wine during the Chardonnay du Monde, the world's most prestigious international judging event for Chardonnay which takes place annually in France.

Epilepsy South Africa, a non-profit organisation that aims to provide equal opportunities for people with epilepsy and other disabilities, will be hosting a glamorous wine auction on 19 March 2008, at the Westin Grand (previously the Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel) in Cape Town. This beautiful blend of fantastic food and wines, an excellent venue, Master of Ceremonies, Soli Philander and a first class auctioneer are to make this event a "Highlight event on the Social Calendar".
