Groot Constantia’s Pinotage 2013 received a well-deserved trophy at this year’s Absa Top 10 Pinotage Awards beating competition from a total of 154 wines entered. The Absa Top 10 Pinotage Awards is one of South Africa’s premier wine industry contests, currently in its 19th consecutive year running. The 2015 awards ceremony was held at the KWV in Paarl on 28 August.
Groot Constantia has been described as the Grande Dame of the Constantia Winelands, and it’s not hard to see why. The oldest wine-producing farm in the Cape turned 330 years old in July and is well worth a visit, whatever the season.
Groot Constantia’s 2013 Merlot, 2012 Grand Constance, 2013 Shiraz and 2013 Cabernet Sauvignonall received awards at the recent 2015 Novare SA Terroir Awards.

Monday 13 July saw Groot Constantia celebrating its 330th birthday in what was a fun and festive day for young and old alike – with free wine tasting, free massages from Mangwanani Spa, fun kiddies activities and more on offer.
In the short space of four months, the Groot Constantia wine estate has added five impressive awards to their already extensive list of accolades.

Cape Town really has it all; beautiful beaches, Table Mountain, fabulous people and the wine lands. My husband and I decided to take our family on a little sightseeing trip of Cape Town and my 3 year old was beside himself with excitement!
