One of South Africa’s oldest wines hailed as Top 10 In The World

One of South Africa’s oldest wines, Grand Constance, which is produced by Groot Constantia and which is a brand from the Napoleonic era, continues to rake in the accolades - proudly representing South African wine standards on the world stage.  Most recently this historically significant wine was awarded a Gold Medal and a position in the Top 10 Muscats in the world list at the The 17th annual Muscats du Monde wine competition which took place recently in France.

Seven of Groot Constantia’s wines named best South African wines

South Africa is blessed with an abundance of world-class wineries which produce award winning wines – often the best of their kind globally. Many wine estates become synonymous with a particular cultivar, producing much-anticipated vintages of the same wine year after year.

One South African wine estate is bucking this trend of focusing on a niche selection of wines and is producing a diverse range that continues to rake in the awards, both locally and internationally.

Groot Constantia, SA’s oldest wine farm and one of the oldest brands in the world

There are very few brands that can attest to being over three centuries old and yet to be moving from strength to strength. Groot Constantia is one of them, and as South Africa’s oldest wine farm (332 years old this year) is also one of the oldest brands in the world which has reached iconic status – something which was verified in the winning of the SA Wine Icon category in the recent Klink Awards.
