Groot Constantia’s wines are no stranger to walking away with top awards from the Monde judging panel, which is made up of independent judges consisting of Michelin starred chefs and master sommeliers, amongst other experts from all over Europe, who judged wines from 28 different countries.

The Annual Harvest at Groot Constantia

Did you know? Both black and white grapes are the same bright green colour before ripening. Most grapes are harvested in autumn however the preparation of the annual harvest season begins at the culmination of summer. Every grape varietal is harvested at a certain time of day and optimal temperature to achieve the best quality for our wines. Harvesting in this manner is required, especially in our ever changing climate.
